Reading and Interpreting Graphs – Topic 2
Material to Supplement MTH 110: Prealgebra Online

 On these sites you will learn how to read and interpret graphs. 

 Activity 1:  Go to http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/RevTable/revtable.htm and read the information about reading tables.  Be sure to do the problems toward the bottom of the site.  A link with explanation is provided.

 Activity 2:  Go to http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/ReadCirc/REVCIRCL.HTM and learn how to read a circle graph.  Be sure you do the example problem.

 Activity 3:  Do the problems at http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/ReadCirc/PRAC5Q.HTM and http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/ReadCirc/PRAC6Q.HTM .   The link to the solutions are provided at the bottom of each page, so check your work.

 Activity 4: Go to http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/RevBar/REVBAR.HTM and learn how to read a bar graph.  Be sure to do the example problem.

 Activity 5:  Do the problems at http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/RevBar/PRAC9Q.HTM and http://cstl.syr.edu/fipse/TabBar/RevBar/Prac10q.htm .  The link to the solutions are provided at the bottom of the page, so check your work.

 Activity 6:  Go to http://www.omegamath.com/Data/d1.1.html , read the information and do the student interactive problems.  After you have completed the interactive student problems click on HOMEWORK at the bottom of the site and do these problem.  The answers are included (at bottom) so check your answers.
