COMPETENCY EXAM...

Guidelines...

  • IMPORTANT: There is a competency exam in this course. 
    • You may use no notes or calculators on the competency exam.
    • You must pass the competency exam to pass the course.  But, the grade on the competency exam does not count toward the grade in the course. 
    • If you do not pass the competency exam, but receive a 2.0 or above on the coursework, you will receive a 1.0 for the course. 
    • The concepts covered on the competency exam will be fractions, decimals, ratio, proportion, and percent.  You will have 3 opportunities to pass the competency exam.
    • The Competency Test must be completed and passed by start of class Tuesday, October 23. 
    • The Competency Test (1st try) will be give the first 20 minutes of class on August 28.
    • The 2nd and 3rd testing times must be taken outside of class time.  Make arrangements to take it during my office hours.
