Websites to help you learn!!

Algeblocks Tutorial: Explains how to use some aspects of Algeblocks: presented by the Department of Education of Virginia.

Algebra Textbook online:  This is an algebra text with explanations and problems.  You should find it useful.

Algebra, Understanding: James Brennan has put his algebra book online. Since it is a textbook it is well organized with explanations and examples.

Annotated bibliography of math websites for teachers:  Many sites reviewed and evaluated by former MTH 210 students.

Math.com:  This site uses a 4-step approaches to help you learn: an overview, an in depth explanation, examples, and practice problems.  Many of the topics covered in this course are on this site.

Math Help  Yahoo! Education:  You choose from a list of topics.  You are given a set of problems to do with a "tutorial" available for each one.

Mathtutor: Audiovisual lessons on fractions, decimals, percentage and other arithmetic topics with tests and exercises.

Mrs. Glosser's Math Goodies:   This site has some nice lessons on negative numbers, percentages, and exponents.

Purplemath - Your Algebra Resource: This site was an extensive list of topics with explanations.

Regents Exam Prep Center: Has lessons, practice exercises with answers and a teacher resource site for each topic covered.  This site goes to Math A covering mathematical reasoning, numbers and numeration, operations, modeling/multiple representation, measurement, uncertainty and patterns & functions.  Math B covers the same topics but with at a higher mathematical level.  There is a new site covering algebra, geometry and algebra2/trig.  This last site can be found by going to the original site.
