Week Three Announcements:
Wednesday, September 5, 2007:
Hopefully, all of you are signed up with MyMathLab and are beginning to get into doing the homework assignments and quizzes. Remember that the quizzes and unit exams are found under the button called Take A Test. Also, you can go the the Do Homework button, and then select Show All Assignments. The homework assignments, the unit exams and quizzes will all show up.
Several of you do not have your Proctor Selection Forms to me as of yet. Please see the #8 item in the Getting Started link. The unit exams are taken using MyMathLab. However, there is a Midterm Exam and a Final Exam that must be taken in a Proctored environment. The Proctor Selection Form identifies for me the way you will be taking these two exams. I need to have this form by the beginning of next week at the very latest. This form was to have been sent to me, via the U.S. mail, by the end of last week.
I encourage you to contact me with any questions that you have about the material, using MyMathLab, etc...
Be sure to read all of the instructions in the Getting Started Document. Also, you need to look at the Course Syllabus, the Class Calendar with Assignments and Due Dates, and the Weekly Class Calendar.
Note:
I will not be using this personal website to post announcements in the future. This is the last announcement that will be posted on my personal website. All further announcements and all of the course materials will be able to be found in the Educator environment found at http://www.jccmi.edu/distancelearning/. Therefore, you will only need to log in to your Educator account and in to MyMathLab for the remainder of this course. Hopefully having only two websites to go to for your course materials will make this endeavor more simple. I will be posting all of the course documents under the Course Materials tab. The material on my personal website will remain accessible to all of you, I just will not be adding any new documents or announcements to my personal website for your class.

3. Submit Discussion One. Discussion One asks you to write a brief introduction of yourself
to the rest of the class and post it in Educator. Since most of us will never meet, this
allows us to get to know one another a little bit, and also allows you to practice posting a
document in an Educator discussion. To get complete instructions, go to the Educator
screen, click on “Discussion”, then “Groups”, then “Discussion 1”.
