Curriculum vitae (download)

I am a Professor of Biology at Jackson Community College. My Ph.D. was granted from the University of Michigan for my dissertation on snake evolution, and my research focuses on the evolution and ecology of squamate reptiles (but specifically snake evolution and origins). I have a special interest in the philosophy of science and the combination of technologically intensive and philosophically cogent approaches to testing hypotheses of historical relationships among organisms.

My professional passion is teaching, and I am lucky to be able to share my love of science with people.
