Everyone needs
customer service. Why?
Yes, every one is a customer. None of us alone produces all that we need and want. We depend on others for products and services, information, support, or satisfying their needs as well.
Excellent customer service is hard to find. Everyone talks about it, but
few understand it.
Customer service is more than simply smiling and being
polite.
It is complicated by
the fact that today's customer is smarter, more demanding, and more mobile than
ever.
And yet, a company or an organization is only as good as the service it gives.
So what do you do to provide customer satisfaction and contentment in your professional and personal relationships? When you go out of your way to provide excellent customer service, work and school become more fun and more fulfilling; as a result, positive relationships with others develop.
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us; we are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work; he is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business; he is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him; he is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so.” –Mahatma Gandhi
